Blago..

Oh Blago.

I once had a conversation with a friend about ego-maniac men and the women who love them, protect them, and turn a blind eye to their scandalous behavior. This all seems so familiar in so many ways. I had a boss like Blago. When he finally lost his job, his mantra became, "I did all of these things for my employees! I just tried to make our workplace better! I had all of these wonderful ideas to improve our customer's lives!" Yeah right buddy. If you had just done your job and not put everything on me while you flipped houses instead of doing your job, you'd still have one.

I wish I would have voted for Judy Barr Topinka.

She's crazy too, but in a legal and lovable way.

I've always had a bad feeling about Blago. I actually did vote for Judy Barr Topinka. Oh well.

Bye bye Governor Blago. Welcome Governer Pat Quinn!

so i watched his interview on the view and im sorry to say that i sort of believe him. i mean i believe that something weird is going on but maybe that they dont want to let it all out there because no one wants to get brought down with him. politics is dirty. lets not pretend that hes the only one being illegal.

Ego-maniacs drink their own kool-aid. They *have* to believe their own lies and they see themselves as martyrs for a bigger cause. They have to in order to be able to live with themselves.

He was saying on his national interviews that he was going to the media b/c he wants the people of Il to know the truth. What he didn't say is that he refused to be interviewed by any local Illinois media at all.

I think that it takes a humble servant to be in a position of power. Politicians do try to benefit themselves, but it is really shocking how aggressive he was about it and the lengths he went to to make a $. Not to mention the fact that his entire campaign was based on cleaning up Illinois politics.

I worked for the guy indirectly. He is a TOTAL cheek-pincher sleazeball. If he really was all about serving and junk, he would have shown up at his impeachment trial and done the thing right. And I'm sorry, but he took off after his speech before the impeachment went through so he could catch a ride home on the state plane. I want receipts so I can deduct all those champagne cocktails he drank from my tax return this year.

Innocent until proven guilty. There's a young Mexican gentleman who is being retried because I believe in that concept. I was the reason the jury was deadlocked.

Uncle Ray: I knew I liked you beyond the nun outfit and cycling! You and Veronica Mars have something in common: standing up for the little guy when it counts!

Impeachment trials aren't the same as criminal trials. I may not respect the Rod's personality, but don't want him to be punished if he didn't do anything wrong. If he felt the criminal charges against him shouldn't have lost him his job, he should have spent those few days in Springfield at the hearing and NOT couch-surfing on TV. Had he stepped down until the criminal investigation was over, he still could have run for state office later on.

I agree with Steph, I too have the impression that some thing weird is going on and that the whole story is not been told.
I also believe in innocence until proven guilty.
by the way, yesterday Pat Quinn announced He is going to increase taxes,( at least Blago said one thing that is true). I hope they do not take away the benefits Blago instituted for the seniors, children and uninsured women.
